Uxbridge FIDE Rapid Tournament

A six-round FIDE rated Rapid Tournament. Two sections – Open and Major (U1600).
Rate of play: 10 minutes plus 5 seconds increment per move from move one.
Entry fee: £25 for all sections. Discounted entry fee of £20 for the paid members of Uxbridge Chess Club and £15 for all Junior players born on or after 2012. All female players will be entitled to a special discount of £5.
Registration opens at 1:00 pm and the clock starts at 1:30 pm sharp. Complimentary tea, coffee and snacks will be available.
Prize Money
Open Section: 1st prize is £100 and 2nd prize is £60 and one Rating Prize of £40 U1750.
Major Section: 1st Prize is £100 and 2nd prize is £60. In addition to the 1st and 2nd prizes, four rating prizes of £40 each will be awarded in this section U1400, U1200, U1000 and U800.
In case of a tie, prize money will be shared equally and none will be entitled for more than one prize.
All players of the Open and Major sections must be minimum ECF Gold members and must have a FIDE ID.

Once the entry fee is paid, please send an email either to Abu Hasan on abuhasan.chess@gmail.com or to Daniel Knight on UxbridgeJuniorChessClub@hotmail.com and provide the following details of the player: 1. First and Last names 2. ECF Rating Code 3. FIDE ID 4. Name of Club if any 5. Mobile Number and 6, Chosen Section.
Last date of entry: Friday 11 April. The highest of March ECF and Fide rapid rating will be taken. Standard and Blitz ratings will be considered in absence of rapid ratings.
Chief Arbiter: Mr Michael Flatt. FIDE Rapid rules will be followed. Arbiter’s decision will be final in all disputes. Uxbridge Chess Club has the right to amend the structure and prize money of the tournament if required.
