The ECF Academy is a collaboration between the ECF and the UK Chess Challenge (UKCC) to provide high quality chess training to ambitious juniors at an affordable price. The Academy was originally founded in July 2015 and has since grown to become England’s flagship junior training programme.

For 2021 the focus is going to be on online training and assisting students to develop good working habits that will aid their game. Elements of the Programme include –

• monthly study materials and training schedule
• classic and correspondence tournaments
• live quizzes and assessments
• student plenary sessions with top coaches
• parent plenary sessions with expert speakers
• access to supportive parent and coach community
