… at Wilson’s School, 27th June 2012. This event is designed for any secondary school in the Sutton/Croydon area. It is hoped that some schools who have not recently played chess matches will take part.
DATE: Wednesday 27th June; 2.45pm Registration; Play: 3pm to 5pm
VENUE: Wilson’s School, Mollison Drive, Wallington, Surrey, SM6 9JW [MAP]
EVENT FORMAT: 25 minutes per game. Chess clocks will be used in some games (for those who are used to them). All teams play 4 games – no teams are knocked out. Swiss pairings mean that at most 1 team can win all 4 matches, and similarly only 1 team can lose all 4 matches
TEAMS AND COST: Each team will consist of four players. The cost is £10 per team to cover refreshments (sandwiches and drinks). Please make cheques payable to Wilson’s School and bring them with you.
Schools can enter as many 4 player teams as they wish. If you have incomplete teams then additional players could be provided by reserves from other schools.
